How do I apply for a plot in a BIADA industrial area?
Register on the BIADA portal, complete your investor profile, select your preferred industrial
area and plot size, pay the registration fee online, and submit your application. Track your application
status in real time through the portal dashboard.
What is the difference between E-Auction and E-Lottery?
E-Auction is a live competitive bidding process for premium or large plots (over 20,000 sq ft),
where the highest bidder wins. E-Lottery is a fair random draw used when multiple equally eligible applicants
apply for the same standard plot — ensuring impartiality.
How long does the allotment process take?
After successful auction or lottery selection, the allotment order is typically issued within
21 working days, subject to document verification. The entire process — from application to possession — takes
45–60 days under normal circumstances.
Can NRIs and foreign investors apply for BIADA plots?
Yes. NRIs and foreign entities with an established Indian subsidiary or branch can apply for
BIADA plots. Special facilitation is provided through our Invest Bihar Cell. Please contact our investor desk
for case-specific guidance.
What infrastructure is provided within BIADA estates?
BIADA provides internal roads, 24×7 power supply with substations, piped water supply and
sewerage, underground telecom ducts, effluent treatment facilities, and security. Larger estates also include
common facility centres, skill development centres, and banking facilities.
How can I file a grievance or complaint with BIADA?
You can file a grievance through the BIADA portal under "Grievance Redressal", or email
grievance@biada.bih.nic.in, or call the helpdesk. All grievances are tracked and resolved within 7 working
days with a guaranteed written response.
